After weeks of impressive flights, we can confidently say that the pigeons easily found their way back to the lofts on the national flight from Chateauroux! Maes Danny & Elisabeth from Averbode and Verbruggen Gommaire from Scherpenheuvel have won the top prize both locally and in Hafo Vlaams-Brabant!
The pigeons swiftly reached their lofts after the flight from Chateauroux, especially the yearling pigeons effortlessly found their way back! Verbruggen Gommaire clocked his yearling pigeon at the foot of the basilica in Scherpenheuvel at 12:58.34, achieving victory with a speed of 1558.08m/m. Nationally, this secured an impressive position within the top 50, and he also triumphed in the doubling Hafo Vlaams-Brabant against 172 yearling pigeons. Verheyen Louis finished second with a speed of 1541.84m/m, just outside the top 100 nationally.
The old pigeons took a little longer to return to the lofts and flew a few meters per minute slower than the yearlings. The victory in this category went to Maes Danny & Elisabeth from Averbode, clocking their old pigeon at 13:07.38 with a speed of 1530.78m/m. This father-daughter tandem achieved an excellent position within the top 100 nationally for the old pigeons and also secured the first place in the doubling Hafo Vlaams-Brabant against 75 old pigeons.
