The weather has (once again) impacted the pigeon releases of 17/08.

Weather Conditions and Their Impact on Pigeon Racing

As predicted, the weather has had a significant impact on the releases scheduled for Saturday, August 17th. The national flights from Vierzon and Sermaises have already been postponed to Sunday, and it is likely that the flight from Soissons will also be postponed to Sunday. The pigeons from Momignies were released at 11:50 AM. Although the weather in Belgium itself is still relatively good, the conditions from the Belgian-French border into France are unfavorable for releasing pigeons.

The weather continues to have a major impact on pigeon racing. Rumor has it that the record for postponed flights from last season has already been broken this year. In addition to the headwinds we have had to contend with, the high temperatures have also contributed to a tough season. This raises the question of how many pigeons will still be at the start for the last national flight in mid-September. Is this flight scheduled too late in the calendar?

The season is gradually coming to an end, and we can only hope that the weather gods will be more favorable to us in the last few weeks.
