It is an annual tradition for the mayor and the alderman of sports of the city of Scherpenheuvel-Zichem to present awards during the first national flight from Bourges for young pigeons.
The mayor awards a trophy to the fancier who clocks the first young pigeon from the Scherpenheuvel-Zichem merger. This year, this honor goes to Gommaire Verbruggen from Scherpenheuvel, who achieved 29ste place nationally with the young pigeons.
Additionally, the alderman of sports awards a trophy to the fancier from the Scherpenheuvel-Zichem merger who clocks the first series of the 1st and 2nd nominated young pigeons.
This prize also goes to Gommaire Verbruggen, who clocked the 1st and 2nd nominated young pigeons at a speed of 1268.9553 m/m.
