Champions of Samenspel Hageland 2024: Our Enthusiasts Perform Strongly!

The 2024 season has ended, and traditionally, it is time to calculate the championships and announce the champions of the past season. This also applies to Samenspel Hageland, a collaboration with the clubs Scherpenheuvel, Lubbeek, and Bunsbeek, focusing on both short and long-distance races. As of the 2024 season, this collaboration consists of three clubs, but it still managed to reflect on a good number of pigeons and strong-performing enthusiasts.

Leon Vrancken from our club had an exceptionally strong season in the speed races, resulting in eight mentions in Samenspel Hageland. With this, Leon crowns himself as the overall champion. Last season, Leon finished as the third overall champion, proving that he plays very strongly in speed races and is a very consistent enthusiast. With his eight mentions, he leaves Hugo Reulens behind, who achieved seven mentions. Hugo is very consistent; last season, he was also the second overall champion of Samenspel Hageland.

For the title of third overall champion, it was an exciting battle between Louis Verheyen and Willems Eddy. Both enthusiasts achieved four mentions and 13 points. Ultimately, it is Louis Verheyen who takes the title because he achieved first place in the championship 1st + 2nd get Momignies old pigeons. It is an outstanding performance by Louis Verheyen, as he mainly focuses on the 1/2 fond and heavy 1/2 fond. Due to the heavy program at the beginning of the season, Louis also stayed a bit longer in the speed races, with all-round pigeons that can perform from speed to national heavy 1/2 fond races.

The diplomas will be handed out at our champions’ day in December. We congratulate all the laureates who managed to place in the various championships on their impressive performances during the 2024 season!
