Tim Van Roy confirmed during the 2024 season

Strong Season for Tim Van Roy: A Promising Future in Pigeon Racing

Last year, Tim Van Roy took his first steps as an independent pigeon fancier at the foot of the iconic basilica of Scherpenheuvel. The passion for pigeon racing runs deep in his family and was instilled in him from a young age. After a brief period where other interests took priority, Tim rediscovered his fascination for pigeon racing. He built a new home near the basilica, where he could fully dedicate himself to his passion: racing pigeons independently.

Tim mainly races with pigeons from his parents' loft, Van Roy - Philipsen Racing Pigeons, which quickly brought him success. His performances in Scherpenheuvel were very promising last year, and many eagerly awaited his results for the 2024 season. Despite the challenges of a demanding job and family responsibilities, Tim managed to find a good balance. This led to another stellar season, in which he ranked in the local championships of Scherpenheuvel for the second consecutive year.

His strength shone especially in the demanding 1/2 fond races with young birds, where he faced tough competition from his neighbor and experienced pigeon fancier, Gommaire Verbruggen. Although Verbruggen proved slightly stronger, Tim's performances confirmed that pigeon racing in Scherpenheuvel remains vibrant and is building towards a promising future.

Tim also achieved notable successes on a larger scale. At the Vlaams-Brabant youth club in the “Beginners” category, he distinguished himself. Tim took first place in the GHF championship (with an impressive coefficient of 9.19%) over five races and secured both the first and second ace pigeon titles in the GHF Yearlings category. His top ace pigeon, BE-23-6047106, is a cross between a cock from Van Roy - Philipsen and a hen from Bosmans-Leekens.

With these remarkable results, Tim looks forward to the 2025 season with great ambition. His passion and dedication to pigeon racing, combined with his experience and the quality of his pigeon stock, set high expectations. We will continue to follow Tim closely and wish him great success in the coming years!
