The end of the year is in sight!

As the year draws to a close, we can start counting down to the new year and the 2025 season. What hasn't changed is the annual recurring winter misery, where there is a lot of talk and constant disagreement. This is no different after the 2024 season, where we find ourselves in the same discussions again, with agreements not being honored or people not pulling in the same direction! Is this the evolution of pigeon racing due to the significant decline in members and pigeons?

If the winter period were calmer, we could focus on the upcoming new season. A preparation where the sporting aspect can take precedence. Now, every winter is a struggle to stay afloat. The last few years have been no different, with valuable time being lost. Unfortunately, it is what it is! Still, we hope that one day it will be a quiet winter where everyone is on the same page! This would bring some peace and allow us to focus on the sporting organization after the championship celebration. That would be wonderful!

Personally, we had expected more people to attend our championship day, but we can't complain! The voucher sale brings a new record revenue, and we are armed for the new 2025 season, where we will guarantee even more and distribute even more prizes! In short, the revenue is used to keep the club alive, but we will also do something extra for our enthusiasts! We are ready to prepare for the new 2025 season and pamper our members and sporting members! In short, promoting pigeon racing in our region is a top priority!

But first, we need to finalize the flight calendars and the 2025 competitions. This is no easy task, as the current competitions are not aligned. We also need to consider the future of pigeon racing. What will it look like? But one thing is certain: we need to put the pigeon racing of tomorrow on the map today, and that is no easy task, as the number of new members in pigeon racing can be counted on one hand in recent years, and the average age of pigeon enthusiasts is increasing season after season!

But first, let's enjoy the holidays and toast to the new year 2025, wishing everyone good health and a beautiful sporting season! Cheers to good health and cheers to the future of our members, as well as the sporting future of pigeon racing! Enjoy each other and the holidays, and especially the vacation to recharge the batteries! And don't forget, on Saturday 28/12, we will distribute the 2025 foot rings at 10 am in the local club.
