National KBDB Sets End Dates for Local Championships

We have noticed that the recent national meeting of the KBDB has determined when local championships must end. Yesterday, we received an email from the provincial secretary with instructions, reminding the clubs of this decision. This morning, a second email followed with clear guidelines regarding the end dates of the championships.

For clarity for the clubs and fanciers:
- Championships for old and yearlings: Until the weekend of August 2/3.
- Championships for young pigeons: Until the weekend of September 6/7.

Impact on our championships

During our AV meeting on November 8, it was already decided to end the old pigeon half-distance championship the week before the national Bourges young pigeon race. This means that our old pigeon half-distance championship will take place from the first weekend of May until July 26, as decided by our 2024 AV. 
The national decision mainly impacts our old high-speed, half-distance, and heavy half-distance championships. The last national race for young pigeons will no longer count as local young pigeon championships must end on September 6, 2025.
