No less than 88 candidates submitted for the KBDB Elections 2025!

KBDB Elections 2025: A Success for the Future of Pigeon Racing

This year, the elections of the Royal Belgian Pigeon Racing Federation (KBDB) are scheduled. During these elections, both provincial and national representatives will be chosen. For the first time, candidates had the option to specifically apply for provincial elections, national elections, or both. With no less than 88 submitted candidatures, this can be considered a great success. It demonstrates that many are willing to commit to the future of pigeon racing.

The submitted candidatures are currently being administratively reviewed by the appointed bailiff. This review ensures that the candidatures were correctly submitted according to the established modalities and within the set deadline. A report of findings will be drawn up by the bailiff. Candidates who are not retained due to a material error will be notified by registered mail.

After this administrative review, the valid candidatures will be forwarded to the PE/SPE to which the candidate belongs, based on the loft's address. The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the candidatures will be made during the extraordinary national general assembly on May 16, 2025.

It is currently unclear how many candidates have registered in Flemish Brabant, although it is said that approximately ten candidates have signed up for the 2025 elections. For now, it remains to be seen who the candidates are and for which mandates they are running. The final selection will only be known after the meeting on May 16.

With these elections, the KBDB takes an important step forward in strengthening pigeon racing and ensuring its future. The high level of candidate involvement clearly shows that pigeon racing is alive and inspiring.
