Arien-DK-Kaier and Lucien Laevers Victors from Soissons and Momignies

The past weekend of April 19** was marked by notable achievements from various enthusiasts in Scherpenheuvel. A total of 899 old pigeons were registered, divided into 619 pigeons for Soissons and 280 pigeons for Momignies. Despite predictions of unpredictable weather, the pigeons were able to be released early. The release site in Soissons saw the pigeons take flight at 8:40 AM, while Momignies followed at 9:10 AM.

Highlights from Soissons

The Arien-De Keyser-Kaier combination once again claimed victory, following their previous win from Momignies against 648 old pigeons. This time, they secured first place in Soissons against 619 pigeons. The 2025 season is off to a great start for them, making them a formidable contender in Scherpenheuvel. Alongside the winner, Gommaire Verbruggen delivered an impressive performance by earning second place with his first signed pigeon out of 71 registered pigeons. Arien-De Keyser-Kaier also managed to secure third place.  

Other noteworthy results:  

- Roger Didden and son, as well as Robert Schroeven, achieved an impressive 90% prize ratio.  

- Geert Beken posted a strong result with an 87.50% prize ratio.  

- Victor Valvekens remains a name to watch; he achieved a 72.73% prize ratio from Soissons.

Results from Momignies

The flight from Momignies featured 280 registered pigeons, with Lucien Laevers from Rillaar as the undisputed winner. With just two registered pigeons, he secured first place and an exceptional 100% prize ratio. Leo Berghmans confirmed his prowess with an 80% prize ratio, while Leon Vrancken and Louis Verheyen delivered a strong performance with a 75% prize ratio. Robert Schroeven achieved a 70.59% prize ratio from Momignies and continued his strong start to the season.
