On Saturday, April 26, the Verenigde Vrienden Scherpenheuvel club enrolled no less than 905 old pigeons for the races from Momignies and Soissons.**
For Momignies, 173 old pigeons and 18 enthusiasts were enrolled, while for Soissons, 732 old pigeons and 37 enthusiasts were enrolled. Beyond the registered numbers, even more pigeon fanciers gathered in Scherpenheuvel, which not only resulted in an increase in the number of enrolled pigeons but also intensified the competition. Winning here is certainly not something that will be handed out easily.
The unique guarantee formula weekly attracts more pigeon fanciers to Scherpenheuvel. The concept, which involves enrolling so many pigeons under the guarantees, clearly proves to be a great success.
