With May nearly behind us, the countdown to the first **"Pigeon of the Month"** ranking for old pigeons is in full swing. The prestigious title will also be awarded in June, before shifting focus to young pigeons in the summer months of July and August.

 **Ranking and Scoring System**

A ranking is established based on performance for both old and young pigeons. The top ten pigeons earn points from 10 to 1, leading to a final ranking. Each enthusiast can secure only one mention in the standings! The ultimate monthly winner is rewarded with a **bottle of cava** in recognition of their outstanding results. However, each enthusiast can win only one bottle of cava. If an enthusiast has already claimed victory once, the prize is passed down to the next competitor in the ranking.

 **A Thrilling Battle in May**

With just one weekend left, the competition for the May victory seems to be narrowing down to **Gommaire Verbruggen** and **Arien-De Keyser-Kaier**. However, the final races can still bring surprises—just as is often the case in pigeon racing, unexpected outcomes are always possible.

Additionally, congratulations are in order for **Lucienne Asselberghs**, currently securing an impressive third place thanks to remarkable performances in the race from Momignies. **Guido Broos, Marc Van Oosterwyck, and Victor Valvekens** are also doing exceptionally well and remain contenders for top spots in the ranking.

 **The Final Decision Approaches**
