An annually recurring phenomenon in pigeon racing is the departure of some fanciers, which is not entirely surprising given the average age of our members. Nevertheless, we are proud to report that our club continues to attract new members. Looking ahead to the 2026 season, we even see a slight increase in the number of members: from 49 loft lists in 2025 to 55 at present.
This growth is a heartwarming sign of trust and engagement. As a board, we are especially pleased to see that our efforts are being appreciated. This year, more than €5,000 was distributed among our members and sporting members — an amount allocated through prize races, refunds of loft lists and entry fees, guarantees, vouchers for pigeon feed, and championships. Such support is unique in the region and underscores our commitment to making pigeon racing more attractive for our members and sporting members. This appreciation is also reflected in the participation numbers: we registered over 11,000 more pigeons than in the 2024 season!
As a board, we place great importance on participation and involvement. That is why we warmly invite all members and sporting members to our general assembly on Tuesday, November 11 at 2:00 PM in the clubhouse.
