Our fanciers are performing well at Bourges National!

Last Saturday, our fancier Verbruggen Gommaire made quite an impression on the national flight from Bourges! He secured a spot in the top 40 nationally with his yearling pigeon. Click here to view Verbruggen's article and learn more about his success.

Verbruggen wasn't the only one who caught the attention. Vanwinkel Jef from Tielt-Winge, Verheyen Louis from Scherpenheuvel, and De Keyser Georges from Messelbroek also showcased their remarkable performances. Those who had examined the results of the previous weekend's Sermaises race were already aware of the strong performance of Vanwinkel's pigeons. It comes as no surprise that Vanwinkel approached the national flight from Bourges with great confidence. Jef entered 17 old pigeons and 22 yearlings for this first national flight of the season.

And Jef clocked early pigeons in national zone B4, both among the old pigeons and the yearlings. In both categories, Jef recorded 2 pigeons in the top 100 nationally in zone B4. Among the old pigeons, he secured the 11th and 23rd positions out of 2,415 old pigeons, while among the yearlings, he placed 8th and 57th out of 1,558 yearlings. Jef's old pigeons performed exceptionally well on this Bourges flight, as he achieved an impressive 14 prizes out of 17 pigeons entered in zone B4. For the yearlings, Jef claimed prizes with 9 out of the 22 pigeons entered.

Due to the zone classification, Georges De Keyser participated in national zone B3, where he also delivered an outstanding performance. Georges clocked 2 yearlings in the top 100 nationally in zone B3, securing the 38th and 68th positions out of 2,064 yearlings. The percentage of prizes achieved by Georges "Joske" De Keyser from Messelbroek is remarkable. In national zone B3, he won prizes with 2 out of the 3 old pigeons entered and 8 out of the 13 yearlings entered. Messelbroek can certainly be satisfied with this national flight from Bourges.

Despite the fact that the national flight from Bourges rarely yields the desired results, Louis Verheyen can also look back on a successful Bourges national race. He clocked 2 pigeons in the top 100 nationally in zone B4 among the yearlings, claiming the 11th and 71st positions. Louis hopes to give his competitors a hard time and contend for victory in the upcoming races.
